Where calm meets character
When I designed this kitchen, my goal was to create a space that feels refined yet deeply inviting. I wanted to capture the effortless charm of a Paris apartment, but make it function beautifully for modern family life.
The beautiful marble was my starting point. I wanted it to feel sculptural and continuous, wrapping the counters, backsplash, and hood in one elegant sweep. To balance its boldness, I introduced fluted oak millwork and softly curved edges around the island and cabinetry. Those rounded corners are intentional, designed to draw you in and guide the eye through the space with a sense of flow and calm.
The olive velvet stools add a grounded richness and touch of playfulness, while the brushed brass fixtures lend quiet sophistication. A hidden pantry and fully integrated appliances keep the look clean and architectural, allowing the materials to take center stage.
What I love most about this kitchen is the way it balances contrasts: classic and modern, sculptural and soft, European and effortless. It’s a space that feels composed yet lived-in, inviting you to linger and connect.
